Boron doped diamond(BDD)electrode has a great industrialization prospect in the field of water treatment because of its excellent electrochemical,physical and chemical properties.However,the pretreatment technology and preparation technology of BDD electrode limit the industrialization application of BDD electrode.In order to further improve the performance of the BDD thin film electrode,researches on the laser substrate pretreatment technology and the BDD thin film deposition process were carried out in this paper.The electrochemical performance,the service life and the electrolytic water capacity of BDD thin film electrodes were evaluated.The main research achievements of this paper included:1.Laser Surface Texturing(LST)technology was used to pretreat the Nb substrate,and the influence of single pulse energy,scanning spacing and single pulse spacing on the substrate surface morphology and performance was studied;Laser surface cleaning technology was used to remove oxidation layer and adhesion on substrate surface.2.BDD coatings were deposited on substrates after laser pretreatment,using rockwell indentation test to evaluate the performance of substrate-coating adherence,establish the link among laser texturing parameters,surface property and substrate-coating adherence.The mechanism of laser pretreatment to improve the substrate-coating adherence was analyzed.3.Hot Filament Chemical Vapor Deposition(HFCVD)system was used to conduct the deposition experiment of BDD thin film electrodes.The influences of three process parameters,hot filament temperature,carbon source concentration and boron concentration,on the surface morphology,the composition and the electrical conductivity of BDD electrode were analyzed in detail.The optimum preparation parameters were selected according to the analysis results.4.The electrochemical properties of BDD electrodes were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry,the service lives of different pretreated electrodes were characterized by accelerated life tests and the influence of laser pretreatment on the BDD electrodes properties was confirmed.The BDD electrodes were compared with the titanium based platinum electrode for the preparation of acid-base water,and the superior performance of the BDD electrode was further verified.
