Nickel phosphides?Ni-P?,as n-type semiconductor,have metalloid properties and excellent electronic conductivity.They have been widely applied in electrocatalysis,energy,and electrochemical sensors due to abundant sources and environmental friendliness.Many methods have been used to prepare porous Ni-P.However,most of these methods are too complicated and time-consuming.In this paper,three-dimensional ordered porous Ni-P and its composites were prepared by template method and electrodeposition method.The structures,compositions and properties of the electrodes were analyzed by physical and electrochemical measurements.The capacitive properties of porous Ni-P and its composites were systematically studied.Meanwhile,the catalytic performance of porous Ni-P and its composites for glucose and hydrogen peroxide?H2O2?were also studied.The reasons for the excellent electrochemical performance of porous Ni-P and its composites were further discussed.The details are summarized as follows:?1?Three-dimensional ordered porous Ni-P has been facilely synthesized by a three-steps process including electrodeposition of polystyrene colloidal templates,electrodeposition of Ni-P and removing polystyrene.The morphology,composition and chemical state of porous Ni-P were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The study found that Ni-P is amorphous and the atomic ratio of nickel to phosphorus is 2:1.?2?The capacitance properties of porous Ni-P were measured with electrochemical method.It was found that porous Ni-P has excellent specific capacitance performance.The capacitance of porous Ni-P can reach 2270.26 F g-11 at current density of 1 A g-1.Meanwhile,porous Ni-P shows excellent cycle stability?86.6%retention after 4800 cycles?and rate performance.The high specific capacitance and excellent cycle stability of porous Ni-P can be attributed to porous structure and the addition of P element.Moreover,an asymmetric supercapacitor device was assembled with porous Ni-P and activated carbon?AC?could light the LED after being charged,indicating the potential in practical applications.?3?NiCo2O4/Ni-P composite electrode was prepared by hydrothermal method and its capacitive performance was studied.It was found that the NiCo2O4/Ni-P has excellent capacitance and stability.The capacitance of porous Ni-P can reach 2119.11 F g-11 at current density of 1 A g-1.The specific capacitance can still maintain a maximum of 89.7%after 6000cycles.The capacitor device delivers remarkable cycling stability.The device assembled with porous Ni-P composite electrodes has excellent stability.The specific capacitance can be maintained at 98.2%of the maximum value after 5000 cycles.?4?The electrocatalytic properties of porous Ni-P and NiCo2O4/Ni-P composite electrodes were investigated by electrochemical tests.The results show that both exhibit excellent performance of electro-oxidation of glucose and electro-reduction of H2O2.The detection range and sensitivity of NiCo2O4/Ni-P composite electrode is better than that of porous Ni-P.
