In recent years, with the rapid development of 3C products and the increasing appeal for improving fuel efficiency and saving energy, reducing the weight of products becomes more and more important.Magnesium alloy is the one of the lightest materials and especially magnesium alloy sheet has the strong competitiveness in reducing products weight. So many science researchers begin to pay more attention to the warm rolling which is the most effective way to produce magnesium alloy sheet. But for its crystal structure and properties, magnesium alloy is sensitive to roller temperature. If the roller temperature is too low,the magnesium alloy sheet is prone to crack in the warm rolling process. Therefore the temperature control of rollers becomes the key technology to improve the quality of magnesium alloy sheet.Compared with traditional heating methods, induction heating has such many advantages as fast heating speed, high efficiency and easy control. But during the warm rolling, the induction heating of rollers is a new subject and its heating effect is unknown. So it is very important for improving quality and properties of magnesium alloy sheet to research the induction heating of rollers. This paper mainly relies on the project of equipment development and application of roll induction heating. The heating curve and temperature distribution of the roller surface, influencing factors and rolling effects of magnesium alloy sheet were studied by experiment and simulation research.By experiment study of rollers induction heating,The heating curve and temperature distribution of the roller surface were revealed.the impacts of airflow regulation on them were discussed. The experiment result show that airflow regulation can expand uniform temperature zone of roller surface. The mathematical model was established for the study of the roller induction heating process. With the Temperature Uniform Index(TUI)proposed, temperature uniformity and uniform temperature zone length were analyzed.Besides, the impacts of airflow regulation and magnetizer arrangement on them were discussed. The results show that temperature distribution of the roll surface presents the central temperature is higher than the two ends, and uniform temperature zone accounts for about 68%of the entire length.Airflow regulation and magnetizer arrangment can expand the proportion. The rolling effect of magnesium alloy sheet was studied during the warm rolling process. The result shows that the shape of magnesium alloy sheets is well and have no crack. And by estabilishing the mathematical model of the magnesium alloy sheet Longitudinal fluxinduction heating process, the impact of the distance between the coil edge and sheet edge on the temperature distribution of magnesium alloy sheet was revealed.
