Porous Organic Polymers(POPs)is a new type of porous material with unique advantages such as controllable structure, adjustable function and high stability. It has wide applications in gas adsorption and separation, catalysis and iodine adsorption. In this paper, based on Schiff-base chemistry,a series of covalent porous organic polymer materials with different structure of imine bond were designed and synthesized by using different aldehyde and amine monomers, and their application in adsorption was studied. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1.The first part of the work we designed and synthesized four kinds of amorphous POPs.Adjustable hollow/solid sphere morphologies could be easily obtained just by changing the solvent ratio of mesitylene and 1,4-dioxane in the experiment. The obtained amorphous POPs were applied to the adsorption of iodine vapor and iodine solution, and exhibited excellent iodine adsorption performance and reusability,In particular, the maximum adsorption was(443±3)wt% for NDB-H,which has achieved the best iodine adsorption performance by amorphous POPs based on the Schiff-base reaction. In addition,we also studied the adsorption performance of POPs on dye methylene blue, the adsorption performance was found to be good.2.The second part of the work we explored the controllable preparation method of different morphologies of POPs.It is found that in the same reaction and the same experimental conditions, the regulation of the morphology and size of the material can be achieved just by adjusting the stirring speed in the synthesis process or temperature or the concentration of the reaction. This result was proved by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and other characterization methods.3.The third part of the work we designed and synthesized four Schiff-base cyclic compounds, characterized their structure, morphology and stability, further explored their iodine adsorption properties, and found that all four materials showed excellent iodine vapor adsorption capacity. In particular, the iodine adsorption capacity of POP-3 is as high as 430.8 wt%.EDX demonstrated the presence of iodine in the material, indicating that the material has excellent iodine storage capacity. After recycling five times, materials still has 99.5 % adsorption capacity exhibited excellent reusability for potential applications.
