Research On The Influencing Factors Of Earnings Management Of Coal Listed Companies

With the rapid development of China's capital market,eamings information in the external financial reports of listed companies has become the key information for the government,investors and other stakeholders to refer to when making investment decisions.As the pillar industry of China's economic development,the earnings situation of coal industry has been paid close attention to.Excessive earnings management behavior of listed companies in the coal industry will directly affect the authenticity of financial reports,and then affect the decision-making and judgment of relevant parties and the long-term development of enterprises.Studying the degree of earnings management of coal listed companies and its influencing factors has a good theoretical and practical significance for standardizing earnings management behavior and promoting the healthy development of coal listed companies.On the basis of summarizing the relevant literature and th,eories at home and abroad,this paper defines the concept of earnings management,and theoretically analyses the motivation,means and impact of earnings management of listed companies.Taking the earnings management degree of coal listed companies as the explanatory variable,it includes two indicators:controllable accrued profits and comprehensive real earnings management.Factor analysis method was used to select indicators from internal governance and financial situation,and two indicators from external factors were added as explanatory variables.The indicators are the proportion of senior managers,the proportion of board of directors,the proportion of board of supervisors,the ratio of assets and liabilities,the growth rate of net assets,the net interest rate of equity,the multiplier of equity,the nature of actual controllers and the audit quality of accounting firms.Taking company size and listed years as control variables.Through theoretical analysis,nine research hypotheses are put forward and regression models are constructed.Taking Shanghai and Shenzhen coal listed companies as samples,this paper makes empirical regression and Analysis on the data of 2012-2017.The results show that the nature of actual controllers,net interest rate,equity multiplier and asset-liability ratio have a positive impact on earnings management of coal listed companies.The proportion of board of directors and board of supervisors has a negative impact on earnings management of coal listed companies.From the aspects of accelerating the reduction of state-owned shares and decentralization of shares of Listed Companies in the coal industry,strengthening the checks and balances mechanism of internal governance structure of Listed Companies in the coal industry,establishing and improving the internal control system of Listed Companies in the coal industry,standardizing government behavior,straightening out the relationship between government and enterprises,and strengthening external supervision,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to restrain the earnings management behavior of Listed Companies in the coal industry.This paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to restrain the earnings management of Listed Companies in coal industry,including speeding up the reduction of state-owned shares and decentralization of shares of Listed Companies in coal industry,strengthening the checks and balances mechanism of internal governance structure of Listed Companies in coal industry,establishing and improving the internal control system of Listed Companies in coal industry,standardizing government behavior,straightening out the relationship between government and enterprises,and strengthening external supervision.
