Copper powder has been widely used in many fields,such as conductive materials,lubricants,catalysts and antibacterial agents,due to its good conductivity and thermal conductivity,low electrochemical migration behavior,high catalytic activity and low price.Therefore,the preparation of copper powder and the control of its morphology and performance have been always of the great intrest to researchers.Based on the previous research on metal powder and biomass carbon,we introduced self-made mesophase(CN 1421477 A)and commercial lignin as carbon source,and studied the effect of copper source,the concentration of copper ions,the complexing agent,the reation temperature and other factors on the preparation of copper and carbon-copper composites with special morphologh through chemical reduction method and carbothermal reduction method.And the effects of surface morphology of copper powder on the preparation of Ag-coated copper particles were investigated based on the prepared micron copper powder with special surface morphology.The results showed that:1.In the copper-mesophase system,it was found that copper source can behave “genetic characteristics” in chemical reduction method.For example,when the copper sulfate pentahydrate was used as the copper source,we can get micron polyhedron particles with smooth surface;when the basic copper carbonate was used as the copper source,we can get micron polyhedron particles with pitted surface;when the copper chloride was used as the copper source,we can get micron rod-like copper particles with 15:1 length-diamater ratio.2.In the copper-lignin system,under the action of lignin,carbon film coated copper-carbon composite powder can be obtained,and the particle morphology can be improved by continuously optimizing the reaction temperature and the reactant concentration.3.When plating silver on the copper powder with smooth surface,raised surface and pitted surface,we found that the surface morphology of copper powder had a significant effect on the growth of silver.And the increase of thermal stability of Ag-coated Cu was related to the amount of silver.
