With the continuous upgrading and development of science and technology and industry,China's steel output continues to increase.According to the development of national conditions, the demand for high-end product quality is increasing.Bearing steel is a special kind of steel. It plays an irreplaceable role in industries such as industry and agriculture. In recent years, the production and quality of bearing steel have been increasing and developing, but due to some smelting levels and technical constraints,China's high-end The quality of bearing steel still has room for improvement compared to the quality of developed countries. For some high-end medical, automotive and aerospace bearings still need to be imported from abroad. The quality of bearing steel is generally measured in terms of cleanliness, uniformity and corrosion resistance. The cleaning of bearing steel is a direction pursued by researchers. The quantity and size of non-metallic inclusions in bearing steel play a key role in cleanliness,so it can be analyzed and studied from the aspects of reducing the number of inclusions and reducing the size.To improve the quality of the product. After reviewing the data and reading the rare earth literature,it is found that rare earth can make the molten steel cleaner and have a cleansing effect. The existing GCr15 bearing steel produced by a special steel plant has a process of EAF?LF?VD?CC.Adding different content of rare earth Ce to smelt GC15 bearing steel, study the changes of composition, quantity, size and morphology of Ds-like inclusions, find the law to improve the quality of bearing steel, and convenient for the actual production process. In this paper,by adding different contents of rare earth Ce to GCr15 bearing steel to carry out smelting operation, the influence law of rare earth Ce on inclusions in steel is studied.Under the existing experimental conditions, the following conclusions are drawn:rare earth Ce in GCr15 bearing steel The inclusions have an effect. With the increasing content of rare earth Ce?30ppm-120ppm?,the number of inclusions in the 0-5?m size of the steel is increasing, and the number of inclusions larger than 13?m is decreasing;the rare earth Ce is the spinel in the GCr15 bearing steel. The amount has an effect. With the increasing content of rare earth Ce,the content of spinel shows a downward trend;the content of inclusions of rare earth sulfur oxides is increasing;the content of cerium oxide is increasing;monooxide?oxidation? The content of magnesium)is on the rise.Barium aluminate showed a downward trend and silicate showed a downward trend.Ds-type inclusions in GCr15 bearing steel are generally composed of complex multi-phase inclusions, most of which are dominated by Al2O3·MgO,and the outer layer is coated with sulfide?CaS,MnS?and sometimes with calcium aluminate?CaO Al2O3?,silicate?Ca2SiO4?and inclusions containing K.The rare earth Ce has an influence on the morphology of the inclusions. As the content of Ce increases, the outer surface of the Ds inclusions gradually becomes smoother and the edges and corners gradually decrease. The rare earth Ce was added, and large particle inclusions containing rare earth Ce were hardly found in the steel.
