Enterprise A is a large-scale steel maker,the main products are: Hot-rolled coil,Cold-rolled steel,Heavy plate and Steel pipe,etc,and every product manufactured by an independent division.Now,many heavy plate mill are built at home,enterprise A have to face the intense competition from abroad and domestic than ever before,so they change the strategy and begin to tap potential internally.Finishing line is a large and important manufacture division in heavy plate mill,the mainly work of the division is processed the raw material into finished product by cutting,heat-treatment,etc.Considering the complicated material-flow in finishing line,every heavy plate mill is working on how to optimize the stacking model in order to accelerate the material-flow,shorten manufacturing cycle and increase productivity of production line.Middle-warehouse and production-warehouse is the two warehouse in finishing line,the raw material is placed in middle-warehouse and the finished-production is placed in production-warehouse.Since the principle of stacking is not certainty and clearance,there is a great deal of mixed piles in the middle-warehouse and production-warehouse,it cause a great mount of useless stack transfer,and it's further reduce the rhythm of production and prolong the manufacturing cycle and the contract can not be finished before the dead-end,based on the statistic analysis,the plate stack transfer occupied the cranes in the finishing line almost 1/3 working hours of a day.This paper mainly study on re-planning the stack in the yard through historical data in order to increase the capability of every stack.And use the experience of she stacking model of slab yard in other heavy plate mill plant,and the stacking model of plate in shipyard and stacking model of container in container port,find out the key factor that caused the great mount of stack transfer in finishing line is there is no certain rules to guide the operator how to stacking plate.This paper analyzes the characteristics of finishing line of heavy plate mill plant in enterprise A,proposed heuristic algorithm that calculating the minimum amount of stack transfer when stacking,and find out optimization program in middle-warehouse and production-warehouse.Finally decrease the amount of stack transfer about 15% in middle-warehouse and 13% in production-warehouse,and also reduce the working hours of the cranes in finishing line almost 13%.Further more it accelerate the material-flow in finishing line.
