With the rapid development of infrared car night vision systems,the demand for precision molded aspherical sulfur-based glass lenses has increased dramatically.However,the rough processing of the molded preform is still in the traditional cold working method of using glass cutting cubes and hand grinding chamfering.The method has the problem of high cost of the glass ball preform due to low processing efficiency and low material utilization rate.In this paper,the research and development of As40Se60 chalcogenide glass sphere plate molding and annealing process were mainly carried out.The viscossity and temperature correlation detection and analysis of As40Se60 chalcogenide glass were used to determine the molding and annealing temperature range of glass.By DSC detection and crystallization kinetics analysis of the bonded materials.It is confirmed the existence of glass crystallization during the molding process.The molding and annealing processes were optimized by summarizing the variation of the optical properties of the chalcogenide glass with different molding and annealing processes.Finally,new processes are beginning to be widely used in the industrial production of products.The results show that the molding process has a relatively large influence on the transmittance of sulfur-based glass and internal impurity defects.In the air,as the molding temperature increases,the transmittance of the glass begins to show an absorption peak at 13-17 ?m.The change of the molding pressure does not affect the transmittance of the glass;when the molding vacuum is higher than 1.0x102 Pa,the transmittance of the glass is not affected as the degree of vacuum increases.The change of the molding process by the conventional stripe detection method has no effect on the stripe degree of the glass.After annealing,the permanent internal stress of the glass produced by the molding is eliminated.As the annealing temperature increases,the shrinkage of the glass sphere begins to increase due to the decrease in tensile stress,and the shrinkage of the glass sphere begins to maintain the same amount of change until the annealing temperature is ?160 °C.As the annealing time increases,the shrinkage of the glass sphere start to increase as the tensile stress decreases.When the holding time is ?600 min,the shrinkage of the glass sphere begins to maintain the same amount of change.Different annealing processes have no effect on the refractive index of the glass.Newly developed inspection systems for glass spheres and coated lenses and other infrared optical materials can rapidly detect the internal defects.Combined with the optical microscope to verify the effect of the thermal imaging detection system,the system can effectively control the internal defects of the material.
