With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, the substitution of mercury related catalysts has become a bottleneck for the development of PVC industry by calcium carbide method.Gold is considered to be the most promising catalyst as mercuric free catalyst for the synthesis of vinyl chloride from acetylene hydrochlorination. In this paper, the pore structure of activated carbon, the regulation of pore structure of carbon materials and the effect of nitrogen doped porous starch on the carbon carrying catalyst were studied. The relationship between the pore size, pore structure and nitrogen doping of carbon materials and the catalytic performance of acetylene hydrogen chloride was studied. The main results are as follows:1.The effect of the source of activated carbon carrier and the proportion of mesoporous catalyst on the performance of the supported gold catalyst was studied. It was found that the performance of the coconut shell carbon supported gold catalyst was the best.In a certain range of mesopore, the mesopore ratio of activated carbon and the performance of the supported gold catalyst showed a volcanic trend, and the CCl4 value of 60 activated carbon supported gold. The chemical agent has the best performance.2.The influence of pore structure and pore size of mesoporous carbon carrier on the catalytic performance of the supported gold catalyst is studied. It is found that the pore structure has greater influence on the performance of gold catalysts than the pore size of the mesoporous carbon.Compared with the ordered mesoporous carbon, the performance of the disordered mesoporous carbon supported gold catalyst is relatively high. The pore size of mesoporous carbons has little correlation with the performance of supported gold catalysts.3.The effect of nitrogen doping on the performance of the supported gold catalyst was studied. It was found that the activity and stability of nitrogen doped mesoporous carbon supported gold catalysts were improved. The nitrogen atoms could effectively anchor the active component Au3+,inhibit the reduction of Au3+,and thus improve the stability of the catalyst.
