According to the characteristics of China's current national conditions-rich coal, poor oil and less gas,as well as the wide application of higher alcohols in the fields of chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals and energy, syngas from coal and higher alcohols from syngas are the most important synthetic route. In this paper,a series of La1-xSrxCo0.65Ga0.35O3 and La1-xKxCo0.65Ga0.35O3 catalyst precursors were prepared by citric acid complexation method.Based on the compositional diversity of perovskite-type oxides,a novel catalyst was designed for higher alcohol synthesis.La?Sr?Co and Ga were mixed into the La1-xSrxCo0.65Ga0.35O3 perovskite as catalyst precursor. The Co/SrO-La4Ga2O9-La2O3-SrLaGaO4 catalyst reduced by La0.7Sr0.3Co0.65Ga0.35O3 perovskite exhibits very good higher alcohol selectivity, excellent stability, resistance to sintering and carbon deposition. Here,Co is an active component;La and Ga act as additives of eliminate carbon and modify the chemical state of cobalt;the addition of Sr can increase the surface area and suppresses the sintering of the catalyst. The ions of La,K,Co and Ga were homogeneously dispersed in La1-xKxCo0.65Ga0.35O3 perovskite by citric acid complexation method to explore the effect of potassium for Co-Ga based catalysts. The Co/K2O-La2O3-LaGaO3-La4Ga2O9 catalyst reduced by La0.9K0.1Co0.65Ga0.35O3 perovskite has very good catalytic performance and less carbon deposition. The addition of K can inhibit the formation of hydrocarbons, can increase the BET of catalyst and the active sites of higher alcohols synthesis. The less carbon deposition is attributed to the synergies of La,K,and Ga.
