2-butene-1,4-diol?BED?and 1,4-butanediol?BDO?are commonly used as fine chemical products.Hydrogenation of 2-butyne-1,4-diol?BYD?to BED or BDO is commonly used in industry.However,the process involves multiple cascaded,parallel reactions.Therefore,keeping the high selectivity of the reaction products and efficient production has always been the focus of attention in the business community.Considering that the magnetically assisted fluidized bed?MAFB?combines the advantages of fixed bed and fluidized bed and owns the features of low pressure drop,high mass transfer,and heat transfer.A magnetic Pd catalyst was developed and its catalytic performance for the hydrogenation of BYD was investigated,which was used to improve the space time yield of production.In this work,sol-gel method was used to prepare a magnetic carrier with SiO2and TiO2 coated Fe3O4.The magnetic catalyst Pd/SiO2/FexOy and Pd/TiO2/FexOy were synthesized by impregnation of Pd.Furthermore,the catalytic activity of the prepared magnetic Pd catalyst for the hydrogenation of BYD was characterized.Characterized by XRD,XPS,VSM,etc.,The catalysts show high Pd0 content exceeding 60%on the catalyst surface,and the saturation magnetization is about 57emu·g-1.The BYD aqueous solution near the industrial concentration 3 mol/L was used as the raw material to evaluate the synthesized catalysts in the MAFB and the batch reactor?BR?.On the optimal reactive conditions,nearly 100%of the BYD conversion with a BDO and BED selectivity of 93%were obtained.On the basis of experiment,BYD hydrogenation with high concentration of BYD and high space velocity were achieved.The results show that magnetic Pd-based catalysts can significantly enhance the BYD hydrogenation reaction and have application prospect.
