In this paper,the synthesis of petroleum sulfonates was carried out in the laboratory by using the aromatic fraction of hydrocracking tail oil as raw material and sulfuric acid as sulfonation agent.The sulfonation process of aromatic distillate was studied,the optimum conditions were determined and the sulfonated products were characterized and evaluated.The basic properties of aromatic oil of hydrocracking tail oil were determined with reference to the petrochemical industry standard.The molecular weight of raw oil is moderate,and the impurity atom content is low,so it is suitable to be used as raw material.The infrared spectra showed that the aromatic fraction oil of hydrocracking tail oil is a mixture of hydrocarbons containing side chain aromatic compounds.Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy shows that the molecular structure of PAHs is rich in aliphatic hydrocarbons.Modified Brown-Ladner method was used to determine the average molecular structure of the aromatic fraction oil of hydrocracking tail oil,which was composed of 4-5 aromatic rings,the number of side chain was 1-2,and the average length of side chain was 3.Finally,the molecular structure of aromatic oil of hydrocracking tail oil was analyzed by GC-MS.The experimental results show that the optimum conditions for raw oil:in 1,2-dichloroethane as solvent,the reaction conditions of 50%ethanol solution as extraction agent,catalyst to oil ratio was 1:1,acid to oil ratio is 1.43,the reaction time is 1 hour,the reaction temperature is 50?and desalting temperature is 8?.At this time,the yield of the product is up to 65%and active contents of product is up to 40%.The molecule is hydrophilic and lipophilic after sulfonation.The analysis and characterization of the synthesis of aromatic aromatic hydrocarbons showed that the average molecular weight of the synthesized product was 352,and the CMC value of the product was 0.0316%.The infrared spectra of aromatic petroleum sulfonates show a peak at 1190 cm-11 and 1060 cm-11 at the peak of-SO3,which proves that the aromatic hydrocarbon oil has been successfully sulfonated.By means of the modified Brown-Ladner method,the average molecular structure of the synthesized product is 4 aromatic ring structure,which is almost free of branched chain.High resolution mass spectrometry was used to simulate the molecular structure of petroleum sulfonate by the accurate determination of the molecular formula and the equivalent double bond number and the results show that the lipophilic structure of petroleum sulfonate is a hydrocarbon structure of 3-5 aromatic rings and the hydrophilic group is SO32-.Rich aromatic petroleum sulfonate as the test preparation of coal water slurry additive effect indicates that the rich aromatic petroleum sulfonate can prepare coal water slurry to improve the viscosity of Z pulverized coal mining,the rheological properties of coal water slurry reaches to the A level,but can not improve the stability at grade B or above,so they need to be used with other additives.The experimental results show that the effect of petroleum sulfonate and naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate is better than that of lignosulfonate and CMC.When the petroleum sulfonate and NSF were mixed with 3:2 ratio,the apparent viscosity of coal water slurry was lower than 800 mPa·s and the stability of the product reached A grade.
