Study On Hydrogenation Catalyst For FCC Slurry Oil

Abstract/Summary:
Hydrogenation technology for FCC slurry oil is one of the technologies to improve the economic value of FCC slurry.FCC slurry oil hydrogenation is used to remove the impurity atoms and saturate aromatics.Hydrogenation catalyst is the core of FCC slurry oil hydrogenation technology and plays a decisive role in the hydrotreating process.In this paper,the preparation of hydrotreating catalyst containing NiMoW or NiW was studied and the HDA、HDS and HDN performances of the catalysts were evaluated.Aluminum hydroxide was used as the raw material to manufacture the supportγ-Al2O3.The supportγ-Al2O3 was modified by high cacination temperature,adding starch and adding USY zeolite in the preparation of support.Zeolite Characterization results showed when cacination temperature was raised,the average pore diameter of the support increased slightly.The average pore diameter of the support increased significantly when a small amount of starch was added.The support modified by USY zeolite both had the large specific surface area and the diffraction peak of USY.The co-impregnation method was used in the preparation of Ni-Mo-W and Ni-W hydrotreating catalysts.Nickel nitrate,ammonium molybdate and ammonium metatungstate were used as metal precursors.Several series of different catalysts were made depending on the difference of active component loadings,the Ni/(Ni+W+Mo)molar ratio and supports.Results showed that the surface area and pore volume of catalyst declined markedly as active component loadings increased.The surface area and pore volume of catalyst declined significantly after modified by starch.According to the characterization data,the dispersity of active components was high.The catalyst was evaluated in a fixed bed high pressure hydrogenation equipment and NingBo FCC slurry oil was used to be the raw material.The results showed that for Ni-W type catalysts,25wt%of WO3 loading was the best;for Ni-Mo-W type catalyst,13.91wt%of WO3 loading and 8.63wt%of MoO3 loading were the best.To change Ni/(Ni+W+Mo)molar ratio of catalyst,it was found that the optimum molar ratio was 0.43.The hydrogenation effect of the catalysts,which modified by raising calcination temperature or adding starch,enhanced significantly,especially the catalysts modified by adding starch.Results showed that when the reaction temperature exceeds 390℃,H2/Oil volume ratio is 1200,the HDA activity of the catalysts prepared in this paper was basically unchanged and the activity of HDS and HDN enhanced slowly.The catalysts modified by starch were evaluated through hydrotreating equipment at reaction temperature of 390℃,space velocity of 0.5h-1 and H2/Oil volume ratio of 1200:1.The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons content of the product oil was 21.30wt%and the CA value was 30.40wt%.The removal rate of aromatics was up to 70.10%.And the desulfurization rate was 86.02wt%and denitrification rate was67.42wt%.The density of the product oil was 0.98g/cm-3 at 20℃.
