In this paper, the heavy metal elements Pb,Cd and Ni in the major genuine regional herbs of the eight major medicines of Anguo in Hebei Province and their original soil were investigated and evaluated. At the same time, the existing forms of heavy metals Pb,Cd and Ni in the eight major medicines of Anguo were analyzed.Part One In this chapter,It introduced the sources and status of pollution of heavy metals in the traditional Chinese medicines. The harm of heavy metals to human body;the existing forms in the traditional Chinese medicines and basic profiles of eight major medicines of Anguo were introduced. At the same time, the purpose and significance were also clarified.Part Two In this chapter, the samples were pretreated by wet digestion. The contents of heavy metal elements Pb,Cd and Ni in different parts of the eight major medicines were determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The distribution characteristics and the difference of heavy metal elements in different parts of the traditional Chinese medicines were studied.Meanwhile, the basic level of heavy metal element Ni was researched. The results showed that Chinese medicinal materials, planting areas, different parts and other factors will lead to different absorption characteristics of heavy metal elements;through the understanding of the distribution of heavy metal elements in different parts of traditional Chinese medicines,it provides a reference for the development of non-medicinal parts in the future. At the same time,The number of traditional Chinese medicines that stipulate the standards for heavy metals should be improved and increased.Part Three In this chapter, the samples were pretreated by wet digestion. The contents of heavy metals Pb,Cd and Ni in the soil of the eight major medicines were measured by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry and flame atomic absorption spectrometry.Meanwhile, the contamination status was evaluated. The results showed that the content of heavy metal elements in traditional Chinese medicines was not only related to the soil of theproduction area, but also related to other characteristics such as self-characteristics and irrigation; When use the background value of soil elements in Hebei Province as the evaluation standard, the ecological risk of heavy metal elements was Cd>Pb and Ni,the latter is smaller. The soil in the producing area is affected by human activities, and Cd is the most serious, which should be paid attention to.When use the soil environmental quality GB15618-2018 as the evaluation standard, only the soil of Chrysanthemi flos reaches the warning limit, and the other 7 kinds of producing soil are clean. The soil of the eight major medicines production area is a slight ecological risk;and the enrichment ability of Chinese herbal medicines for heavy metal elements is related to Chinese medicinal materials and the types of heavy metal elements.Part Four In this chapter, different forms of heavy metal elements Pb,Cd and Ni in the eight major medicines were extracted by Tessier continuous extraction method.and then, the morphological contents were detected by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The results showed that in different varieties of Chinese herbal medicines, the proportions of the morphological contents in the same heavy metal elements were various.Meanwhile, the difference of the types in heavy metal elements would affect the proportion distribution in the same kind of Chinese medicinal materials. The discrepancy of the morphological proportions might be related to the metabolic pathways of Chinese herbal medicines in vivo. The heavy metal elements Pb and Cd are mainly in bioavailable form in the eight major medicines, and the proportion of Ni in the bioavailable state is not high.It is suggested that the Chinese Pharmacopoeia or other relevant standards should also consider the morphological content of the heavy metal elements at the same time.
