Structure Design Of Submarine Pipelines For Single Point Mooring Oil Transportation Terminal

With the rapid exploitation of marine petroleum and natural gas resources,the development of submarine pipeline is getting faster and faster,more submarine pipeline laying will be required and thus construction of submarine pipeline is increasingly demanded.Both the design and the research of submarine pipeline are of important realistic significance.In addition,as the domestic submarine pipelines are close to their service life and thus need to be replaced,it is also necessary to redesign the submarine pipeline.Both the historic process and research status of submarine pipeline are briefly reviewed at first,then the strength of submarine pipeline in a single point mooring oil transportation terminal is studied and designed based on the limit state design method which is popular at present.The main work includes:(1)Collection of the marine environment conditions,geological conditions and the relevant information of the transmission of oil in the proposed area of the submarine pipeline,and study of the design input parameters for the submarine pipeline.(2)Enumeration of the general principles of pipeline routing selection,and selects economical,reasonable and efficiency pipeline routing.(3)Strength analysis of submarine pipeline,which include wall thickness design,stability analysis,free spans analysis,expansion analysis,is carried out based on Plusone software,and is then adapted to the construction requirement according to DNV standard.(4)Analysis of the pipeline laying method,e.g.the appropriate installation method and the pipe laying vessel,to ensure the safety of pipeline structure based upon analysis of the installation of typical working conditions of submarine pipeline by OFFPIPE 3 software.Both the review of new technologies in development of submarine pipeline and the submarine pipeline structure analysis,provide the reference and the technical support for the follow-up projects.
