The Kubuqi desert sits on the Erdos plateau,is the seventh largest desert in China, after years of governance, the Kubuqi desert has gradually formed a business model and pattern of"taking sand control as the center, science and technology as the forerunner, combining forestry, sand, grass and livestock, and diversified management and comprehensive utilization".The development of the sand industry has made important contributions to improving the local ecological environment, promoting economic development and improving people's well-being.However,through field research,it was found that the current industry chain was short, and the end wastes were not effectively reused, thus resulting in the waste of resources and environmental impacts. At present the study of sand industry mainly focus on the understanding and the understanding of the concept, and the combination of theory and practice research relatively blank,at the same time, based on life cycle assessment?LCA?on Lin Sha breeding industries, research focuses on pigs, cattle, poultry breeding in the process of evaluation, and for"cultivate-breed-process"industrial chain breeding mode has not yet have a comprehensive study,In this context, based on a representative enterprise of the sand industry in Kubuqi desert, through field research and collection of relevant data, two scenarios are set.Scenario 1 is set according to the traditional rex rabbit breeding industry chain, and scenario 2 is set by improving and extending the follow-up links of the industry chain.Based on life cycle assessment?LCA?method,a life cycle inventory of both scenarios is built, then the SimaPro software is used for life cycle impact assessment, and the environmental impacts of the rex rabbit industry chain and the circular rex rabbit industry chain were obtained and compared. The environmental benefits of the circular rex rabbit industry chain is further clarified, and finally the suggestions for improvements to solve the problems of the industry chain are proposed. This thesis can provide a theoretical basis for improving the circular industry chain of rex rabbit and promoting the sustainable development of the similar sand industries in local and other regions. The results showed that:?1?among the ten types of environmental impacts in scenario 1,the Terrestric Ecotoxicity Potential?TETP?,Marine Aquatic Ecotoxicity Potential?MAETP?and Freshwater Aquatic Ecotoxicity Potential?FAETP?account for more than 50%,which is 66%,TETP accounts for the largest proportion, and its contribution mainly due to the environmental impact caused by the consumption of pesticides or fertilizers in the process of raw materials planting. The contribution of MAETP and FAETP mainly due to the consumption of fertilizers and pesticides in the forage growing stage and the heavy metals produced during the power supply process. In the overall situation of Scenario 2,the main environmental impact categories are TETP,Global Warming Potential?GWP?,and Acidification Potential?AP?.TETP comes from the environmental impact of power consumption and pesticides during the planting phase.GWP comes from the biogas treatment stage, which contains 30%-35%CO2,and the combustion of methane mainly produces CO2.Therefore,the biogas power generation stage leads to higher GWP.The AP mainly comes from the power consumption of each stage,at the same time, the acid processing gas such as SO2 and NOX is generated in the excrement treatment stage.?2?In scenario 2,compared with scenario 1,the environmental impacts at all stages of the life cycle are reduced by 58.2%,49.4%and 36.7%respectively for TETP,FAETP and MAETP.while GWP and AP are increased by64.5%and 27.6%.Through comprehensive comparative analysis,7 of the 10environmental impact types in scenario 2 are significantly reduced compared with those in scenario 1.Therefore,the extension of industry chain, can provide a more appropriate for the current development of sand industry of local natural resources characteristics and sand prevention practice optimization model, for other similar to provide reference for sand industry development.
