Industrial coatings have the features of protection and decoration,which are used in industrial production equipment,container,ship,bridge,gas storage tank,chemical equipment,railway tanker,port machinery,pipe,steel structure and concrete.Traditional industrial coatings mainly used organic solvents as dispersive media and released a lot of toxic and harmful substances such as benzene,toluene,xylene and formaldehyde.Waterborne industrial coatings are of non-toxic,unstimulating,non-flammable,low cost and low price.Therefore,the waterborne industrial coatings have a great market application prospect,and the waterborne technology of industrial coatings have the development advantage.However,there are still many problems to be solved in the preparation and application of waterborne industrial coatings instead of solvent-based industrial coatings,such as aqueous industrial paints,such as flash rust and rust-reversion,poor coatings resistance,and slow drying.This study focused on the principle and application of the waterborne industrial coatings.Firstly,the processes of converting solvent-based industrial coatings into aqueous industrial coatings were summarized,and the existing problems were analyzed.Then the micro motion state of the film was discussed and its effect on film performance was summarized.Lastly,the properties of waterborne coatings were improved from functional fillers and film-forming resin with epoxy resin,acrylic resin,polyurethane resin system as auxiliary makings.The results were as follows:?1?The reduced graphene oxide-zinc-aluminum multi-layered double hydroxides?r GO-Zn Al-LDH?micro-nano fillers in two-dimensional systems were prepared via a one-step process,then modified by 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane and incorporated into a waterborne epoxy?EP?matrix to produce M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH/EP composite coating.The effects of the M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH hybrid on the corrosion resistance of the coating were studied by adjusting the ratio of GO:Zn Al-LDH and also the addition amount of M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH hybrid.The anticorrosive property of the M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH/EP composite coatings had been investigated by potentiodynamic polarization curves,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy?EIS?and salt spray test.The results indicated that the corrosion resistance of the coating was improved remarkably when the ratio of GO:Zn Al-LDH was 2:1 and the addition amount was 0.5 wt%of EP.The corrosion current density?icorr?was only 0.0733mA/cm2 and the polarization resistance?Rc?was up to 2.77E+4?cm2 for M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH/EP?2:1-0.5 wt%?,while the icorr for pure EP was 0.4691mA/cm2and the Rc for pure EP was 2.10E+3?cm2,which suggested that the M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH micro-nano fillers had a higher anticorrosion properties compased to the waterborne epoxy resin.?2?The prepared two-dimensional composite multi-sheet functional fillers of M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH with optimized anisotropy and the modified Ti O2 with thermal insulation properties are combined into a three-dimensional composite functional nano-fillers.The application performance of thermal insulation coating were studied.The results showed that corrosion resistance of the composite coating,which was added the right amount of M-r GO-Zn Al-LDH composite micro-nano fillers and the modified Ti O2?8.0 wt%?,was superior to other dosage of anti-corrosion insulation coating.What's more,its comprehensive performance was better than others.?3?The novel fluorination intermediates were designed and prepared.Then the 2,2-hydroxymethylpropionic acid in waterborne polyurethane was replaced by a new fluorinated intermediate,and a new fluorinated polyurethane dispersion was synthesized.The new fluorinated polyurethane dispersion had greatly improved the corrosion resistance of waterborne industrial coatings.The fluorinated polyurethane coating with fluorine-modified intermediate?2.4 wt%?had excellent performance,including tafel current density of the lowest?0.0099?A/cm2?,AC impedance maximum?3.13E+6?cm2?,the best salt spray resistance,best comprehensive performance.
