Solketal is a versatile organic solvent that can be used as a plasticizer,medical accessories and the intermediate of batyl alcohol.Glycerol is the main by-product of biomass diesel.Thus,the production of solketal by acetone and glycerol condensation conforms to the development direction of green chemical process.Then,the key technology of the craft will be studied in this paper.First of all,the catalysts and solvents were screened,and the cation exchange resin A was selected as the reaction catalyst without solvent to invest the effect of acetone-glycerol molar ratio on the reaction.Secondly,through the exploration of the separation method,it is suggested that the rapid separation of water and solketal is one of the key technologies for the success of this craft.After the experiment of many kinds of separation methods,the thin film evaporation process was selected and the laboratory simulation was carried out to optimize the optimum separation process conditions.When the molar ratio of acetone to glycerol was 3:1,the material was separated by thin film evaporation at 70 ? for 90 kPa?vacuum degree?,and the expected yield of the product was 64.23%.Thirdly,The effects of temperature and time on the reaction kinetics were investigated when the molar ratio of acetone to glycerol was 3:1,the catalyst was cation exchange resin A,and there was no solvent.The reaction kinetics model was established as follows:dx/bt=k+?1-x??a-x?-kx2 k+(h-1)=8.69×107×e-60.62/Rr kh-1=3.99×1010×e-75.47/RrFinally,a flow chart with control points was drawn.This paper provides an experimental basis for the production process development of solletal.
