The strategy of organic synthesis is mainly based on the transformation between function groups of molecules,or the structures with different chemical activities.Cleavage of the strong C–H bond at the appointed position on the molecules to form a new C–C bond or construct a new C–Hetero bond is an ideal synthetic strategy. This approach can avoid drawback of traditional synthesis which needs to go through a pre-functionalization process to install functional groups such as halogen, boron or stannum. In the chemical synthesis field with certain conditions, transforming the specified C–H bond to other key functional groups or building new molecular fragments is one of the most important and long-term goals.Though, the realization of this aim is a huge challenge for researchers,it attracts more and more attention of chemists. The first chapter gave a brief introduction of synthetic methods which mediated by organolithium reagent and transition metal catalysts such as palladium, rhodium, and ruthenium. In this transformation, directing groups guide to realize the substrate ortho selective C–H functionalization to build new carbon-carbon bonds. In the second chapter we firstly introduced transition metal-catalyzed C–H activation methodology to build aromatic heterocyclic compounds. We summarized the recent reports and pioneering research progress in this field. Then,we also gave a detailed account of our research achievements and research dynamics which are related methods for synthesis of heterocyclic compounds catalyzed by palladium. The third chapter mainly introduced the process of free radical reaction which initiated by different free radical initiators. In this thesis,we introduced the synthetic method of heterocyclic compound without transition metals in alkaline conditions. This method has achieved the efficient dehydrogenation process with potassium tert-butoxide and oxygen. The fourth chapter,we described an important chemical norbornene which is widely used in the field of chemical synthesis as the basis and medium of modern synthetic chemistry. One of the best-known applications is used as a mediator. The most famous reaction is the Catellani reaction. In this chapter,we mainly described some research reports based on the double bond structure, which is the addition reaction of alkenes.Secondly,in this field we have to mention the merry-go-round reaction proposed by Mirau. On the basis of Miura's research,we put forward our own hypothesis and explored it.In the fifth chapter of this article,we returned to the transition metal catalysis research field. In this part we mainly introduced the transition metal in different heterocyclic ring closing reaction. We classify them according to the type of the products and the type of transition metals. In this section metal catalysts ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, and nickel are mainly involved. We will focus on how to use C–H activation process and build a six-member and five-member rings with transition metal catalysts.
