Fluid magnetic abrasives can be used for precision and efficient finishing of surface and complex surface.The stability of the fluid magnetic abrasives has a great influence on the surface quality and machining efficiency of the processed parts.In view of the poor stability of fluid magnetic abrasives,which affects processing and industrialization,the following contents are studied in this paper:(1)Settlement stability research of fluid magnetic abrasives.Through the analysis of the single solid phase particles from the grinding tool,this paper expounds the mechanism of abrasive particles sedimentation,aiming at the main factors influencing the abrasive particles sedimentation analysis,using the surface coated thought,method of carboxyl multi-walled carbon nanotubes and poly dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride aqueous solution and water soluble polymer solid phase of abrasive particles on the surface modification,the surface of the solid phase particles to improve performance,increase the sedimentation stability of the magnetic abrasive fluids.The structure,morphology,potential and magnetic saturation strength of solid particles before and after modification were characterized and analyzed by means of scanning electron microscope,EDS energy spectrum analyzer,Zeta potential tester and vibration sample magnetometer.The surface modification of abrasive particles and the addition of appropriate surfactant were carried out.(2)Research on machining stability of fluid magnetic abrasives.Aiming at the mechanism of finishing and the problem of uneven machining in actual machining,a new method of preparing fluid magnetic abrasives by chemical composite plating was put forward.Magnetic particles from the solid phase particles and abrasive particles using nickel phosphorus alloy codeposition manner,to explore the optimal preparation process,ensure the process of magnetic particles and the stability of the abrasive grain,improve processing efficiency,can in a relatively short period of time to promote a higher removal rate and lower roughness,control the process of finishing machining experiment.(3)Polishing titanium alloy and aluminum alloy with improved fluid magnetic abrasives.In order to test the finishing properties of fluid magnetic abrasive tools modified by various methods,the vertical drilling machine was used as the machining device and the electromagnetic fields and magnetic field generating devices of different structures were used to finish aluminum alloy,cobalt-chromium alloy and other materials.Finally,the morphology changes of the grinding tools before and after processing were compared by SEM observation,the coating adhesion was analyzed,and the preparation of the grinding tools was evaluated.
