Piezoelectric composite is a functional composite material which combines excellent properties of piezoelectric ceramics and polymers,composed of piezoelectric ceramic phase and polymer phase.It has a wide range of applications on military,control and medical fields.The properties of 1-3 piezoelectric composites are prominent in,which has been deeply studied.However,the polymer adopted at present generally does not have piezoelectric properties,which makes the composite lose some piezoelectric properties.In this paper,the piezoelectric PVDF polymer will be introduced to reduce the acoustic impedance of the composites and maintain its piezoelectric properties.Main works are as follows:Firstly,in order to research the influence of PVDF on the acoustic impedance and vibration mode of 1-3 piezoelectric composites,the finite element analysis software was used to simulate the acoustic impedance and vibration mode of the composites,which compared with pure piezoelectric ceramics.The simulation results show that compared with pure piezoelectric ceramics,the acoustic impedance of 1-3 piezoelectric composites decreases 90%.The introduction of polymer phase makes the 1-3 piezoelectric composites have a more single thickness vibration mode.To verify the validity of the simulation results,PVDF was compounded with piezoelectric ceramics in this study.The experimental results show that compared with pure piezoelectric ceramics,the acoustic impedance has been decreased 98% and increased 23% piezoelectric coefficient by introducing PVDF,which is basically consistent with the simulation results.Based on the previous research,in order to further modify the piezoelectric and acoustic impedance of PVDF-based 1-3 piezoelectric composites,In this paper,we try to introduce the third-phase PZT nanowires into PVDF.The experimental results show that the piezoelectric coefficient has increase 10,and acoustic impedance of the composites increase with the introduction of the third phase medium.
