Foam materials have great advantages in density,heat conduction,energy absorption and specific stiffness,which have been a hot spot of concern,widely used in various fields.The spherical shell lightweight porous material is a lightweight material which is formed by stacking identical hollow spheres in a certain arrangement.Compared with ordinary foam materials,this kind of material has better controllability in porosity and cell size,as well as better predictability and stability of mechanical properties.Firstly,a simple cubic stacking spherical shell lightweight porous material was fabricated by 3D printing technology,and the matrix material used was polylactic acid.The uniaxial quasi-static compression experiment of spherical shell lightweight porous material was carried out.The finite element software ANSYS is used to establish the model.The calculation results are compared with the experimental data to verify the feasibility of the model and good results are obtained.The research object of this paper is the spherical shell lightweight porous material made of polylactic acid based on 3D printing.Secondly,based on the symmetry of simple cubic stacking spherical shell lightweight porous material,the finite element model is simplified and the representative volume element model is obtained.The elastoplastic properties of the material are simulated and analyzed by applying symmetrical boundary conditions.The effects of the characteristic parameters such as the wall thickness of the hollow spherical shell and the connection aperture between the hollow spheres on the elastic modulus,Poisson’s ratio,specific modulus and yield limit of the spherical shell lightweight porous material with simple cubic stacking are analyzed.Thirdly,according to the geometric characteristics of body-centered cubic stacking and face-centered cubic stacking,the corresponding representative volume element models are established.The elastoplastic properties of three kinds of cubic stacking materials are compared,and the differences of mechanical properties of the spherical shell lightweight porous material under different combinations of characteristic parameters are obtained.Finally,the impact resistance of spherical shell lightweight porous material with simple cubic stacking is simulated and analyzed.From the point of view of several evaluation indexes of impact resistance,the effects of different spherical shell cell wall thickness and connection aperture on the impact resistance of the material are obtained.
