In Ballonet polishing,as a new flexible polishing method born since the new century came,has an important position in the field of precision manufacturing.It has become one of the main processing methods for many optical parts and other precision parts,because of its flexible gasbag and low cost.This paper mainly studys the existence and influence of the residual height peak in each surface area,and designs the self-search path along a certain direction of the curved surface under the condition of the theoretical residual height,and then reduces the upper limit of roughness to the target improved path by reducing the residual height peak.It can promote the ballonet polishing development of the precision,automation and intelligence.According to the literatures found,the research progress at home and abroad shows that although airbag polishing has appeared for 20 years,in the processing path trajectory,due to the lack of specific material removal formula and residual height theory formula,it has been in the experiment and experience.The discontinuous precession method causes the processed surface to have a mutually interfering processing area,and the peak of the residual height generated in the middle is an important factor affecting the surface roughness.Therefore,the relationship between the peak value of the residual height in each area and the influence factors is studied.Apply the peak change to the path planning of the free-form surface.Firstly,according to the residual height formula,set the required residual height reference value to determine the distance between each adjacent machining point to obtain the step distance and the free surface.The relationship between the surface curvature and the step-by-step search for suitable processing points not only meets the requirements of residual height,but also ensures processing efficiency.The goal is to reduce the residual height peak,on the one hand,the arrangement of the processing regions,and on the other hand,the appropriate adjustment of the step distance.Finally,a surface with a lower roughness upper limit can be obtained,and the surface quality is better.
