The hydraulic actuator of subsea choke valve is the drive element to control the opening and closing of subsea choke valve and it is also the key part of subsea tree.The objective to research the hydraulic actuator of subsea choke valve is to ensure the opening and closing of subsea choke valve normally,meanwhile,to keep the subsea tree working regularly.This thesis designed the whole body of the hydraulic actuator of subsea choke valve through a series of standards and references.The calculation of opening force and closing force was based on the theoretical formulas which were also used to the strength checking for some key components,which were strength checking of the choke valve rod,teeth bending and contacting surface strength checking of gear 4,gear 3 and hydraulic drive gear,strength checking of the drive plate,adjusting opening spring and piston rod.The hydraulic simulation software AMESim was applied to build the simulation model of opening and closing process of choke valve,which analyzed the hydraulic drive process and drive performance of the actuator.The results can be achieved that the movement of the piston rod are effected by the hydraulic oil pressure,the hydraulic drive gear resistance force,adjusting opening spring elastic force and makeup fluid resistance through analysis of velocity and displacement curve of piston rod.A series of parameters of actuator hydraulic drive were determined and the optimum value of the compensating tube diameter was obtained.The minimum value of compensating tube diameter need to reach 5 mm and the hydraulic drive result will not change a lot when the diameter reaches and exceeds 8mm.
