China has abundant CBM resources.The development and utilization of CBM not only has economic benefits,but also has comprehensive benefits such as safety benefits,environmental benefits and social benefits behind.China began to explore and develop CBM in the 1990s,it has accumulated a great deal of drainage dynamic data.Due to the complexity of the geological conditions of CBM in China,the economic benefits of different regions are very different.This paper selects three blocks with different geological conditions:South Shizhuang Block(Qinshui Basin),Hancheng Block(Erdos Basin),and the Baiyanghe Block(Junggar Basin),making full use of the static geology of these blocks.The data earried out a comparative study of the geological conditions and development engineering conditions,using the dynamic data of drainage and production,the typical well productivity was simulated and forecasted,CBM development economy is carried out.Benefit evaluation has established a model based on enriching geological and drainage datas,prediction of typical well productivity as link to evaluate economic benefits of CBM development under different geological conditions.This study has drawn the following understandings:(1)Permeability and resource abundance are two important factors affecting production capacity,but the sensitivities in different blocks are different;(2)The difference in coal reservoir permeability is obviously controlled by the difference in stress intensity between blocks.:The higher the in-situ stress intensity,the lower the permeability;(3)The investment recovery period of the CBM development project is long,and it is difficult to guarantee the benefits in the short term.It can not be rushed;(4)Under the premise of certain resource abundance,if coal reservoir permeability of the layer in one block is higher than O.lmD,in the long term,the CBM development can achieve an internal rate of return of 8%,and the block with a permeability of less than 0.1mD is more difficult;(5)The economic benefits of the development of the CBM have a typical "The short board effect";(6)To increase production is the key to improving the economic efficiency of the block.Based on these understandings,the company finally made suggestions for the enterprises to exert their subjective initiative and formulate industrial policies for the government.
