With the improvement of the discharge standards dealing with nitrogen and phosphorus removal,biological nitogen and phoshphoras removal technology has been widely used in some wastewater treatment plants.However,the metabolism of denitrifying bacteria,phosphorus-accumulating bacteria and heterotrophic bacteria require a large amount of carbon sources.Some serious problems,like sever carbon source competition and shortage of rapidly degradable soluble organic matter still exist,which leads to a poor removal rate of pollutants,nitrogen andphosphorus beyond the discharge limits.According to years of operation at Beichen Wastewater Treatment Plant,the paper demonstrated and analyzed the rationality and feasibility of developing influent carbon source by the hydrolytic acidification technology.In addition,combining with the project examples of the plant,the paperfinally determined the optimum operating parameters of the hydrolytic acidification tank through structure selection,system commissioning and operation and evaluation of its efficiency,thus mastering the operation of the hydrolytic acidification technology in development and utilization of carbon source in urban wastewater treatment plants.Based on the existing conditions of Beichen Wastewater Treatment Plant,the paper investigated the operating efficiency of the hydrolytic acidification tank,including the hydraulic retention time and sludge discharge mode,the effect of sludge discharge on the operation efficiency of hydrolytic acidification tank,optimizing the operating conditions of the process and obtaining optimal operation parameters of hydrolytic acidification tank.By analyzing the effect of the removal efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus by couple with a vertical oxidation ditch,the practical application efficiency of the hydrolytic acidification tank was tested.The results show that the hydrolytic acidification technology could increase the content of volatile organic acids in wastewater treatment plants influent,provide biological denitrification and phosphorus removal with enough easily biodegradable organic matter,being beneficial to the subsequent continuous oxidation ditch technology to remove COD and nutrition matters.
