An amorphous metal also known as metallic glass or glassy metal is a solid metallic material, usually an alloy, with a disordered atomic scale structure. Most metals are crystalline in their solid state, which means they have a highly ordered arrangement of atoms. The most important application of amorphous alloy at present is in power frequency and some high frequency transformers, transformers with high efficiency and low magnetization loss.Amorphous alloy materials are of special interest because of their promising technological applications. In this paper,a two dimension single sheet tester and data acquisition device is used to measure the relationship between magnetic flux density B and magnetic field intensity H in one vibration and two-dimensional rotating magnetic fields.A method for measuring the magnetic flux and magnetic field strength components in amorphous material sheets is presented. The measurement of B & H of amorphous alloy sample was carried under different excitation fields 50 Hz frequency. In measurment under low flux density,0.35 T Bx-Hx and By-Hy loops were having almost the same shapes then after increasing the excitation current, the behavior of the two loops changed. This behavior was clear at the measured flux density 0.88 T until getting the saturation value of the flux density 1.85 T in y-direction and 1.73 T in x-direction.The Jiles-Atherton hysteresis model was employed to simulate the magnetic hysteresis properties of amorphous alloy. The main part of the work relates to modeling hysteresis loops with alternating magnetic fields, and compare with measurement results under alternating magnetic fields. The simulation results illustrated that Jiles-Atherton model is accurate enough to simulate the hysteresis properties of this material.
