The Hongqian In-situ combustioned oil?hereinafter referred to as HQ-ISC oil?which extracted by the way of In-situ combustion has the problem of serious foaming,and the petroleum foam can be stable in the separator for long time which destroy the equipment.The oil characters and foaming properties of both ISC oil and non-ISC oil will be discussed in this paper,and try to explain the foaming property of the ISC-oil from molecule level.Several analysis methods like the GPC,NMR and ES FT-ICR MS has been used to analyze the character of the HQ-ISC oil and HQ-SAGD oil.HQ-ISC oil has the higher content of the resin,asphaltene and large molecule with O2 compared with the HQ-SAGD oil.The structure of these O2 molecule are polycycloalkanoic acid with long chain or benzoic acid.These constitute maybe the origin of the foaming problem.HQ-ISC is more like to foam than the HQ-SAGD oil,and the foam is more stable which has a good relationship with the viscosity of the oil.The characters of HQ-ISC oil and FC-ISC oil has been compared to study the common property of the ISC oil.Two ISC oils are very similar in some constitute distributions like the resin,asphlatene,aromatic and molecule with O.The DBE-Carbon number distributions are coincided for several substance.The oil extracted by the In-situ combustion method share the similar chemical properties.The foam generated by both HQ-ISC oil and FC-ISC oil are of high content and steady,which mainly decided by the special chemical properties.As an effective method to improve poor quality of heavy oil,thermal reaction reformation has been widely used in the petroleum industry.In this paper,the properties and foaming properties of the FC-ISC-Modified oil and two ISC oils are compared.The Asphaltene is completely removed,the aromatic content increased,and the viscosity decreased.Thee content of O2 species in FC-ISC-Modified oil is significantly reduced,especially the macromolecule O2 substances.The O2 substances remained is the FC-ISC-Modified oil are mainly short-chain monocyclic,bicycloalkanoic or benzoic acids.FC-ISC-Modified oil is not easy to foam,and foam stability is poor.Comparing the chemical properties and the foaming performance of the three crude oils,it was found that the viscosity is the main factor affecting the stability of the foam,and the O2 species of macromolecules in the oil is the main factor affecting the height of the foam layer.
