Mechanical tee is an important part of pipeline repairs,but due to its large weight,it is difficult to move and install in complex terrain.In this paper,the 914 mechanical tee is taken as an example,and the key parts are weight-reduced through topology optimization methods,and a preliminary modular design is performed.The main contents of the paper include the following aspects:According to the topology optimization theory,the basic principle and mathematical model of Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization(SIMP)are summarized.The SIMP material interpolation model is simulated by Matlab.It is verified that the density penalty factor and filter radius in the SIMP are the key parameters affecting the optimization result.The simulation results of Matlab and optimization software show the feasibility of the SIMP interpolation model.The topological optimization design and redesign of the mechanical tee's key parts are performed.It achieves the weight reduction under the premise of meeting the requirements of strength and deformation.According to the modular design theory,a preliminary modular design of the mechanical tee is carried out,and the bolted connection area of the shell after bolting is used to connect the bolts.The calculation of the calibration was performed and the sealing performance of the critical area was calculated.The modular mechanical tee reduction was 16% relative to the original one.This article has carried on the topological optimization design to the 914 mechanical tee's key parts,and carried on the preliminary modular design to it.And lays a theoretical foundation for the lightweight and modular design of mechanical tee.
