Current estimates indicate that mature Oil field is expected to production decline, potentially creating a gap between hydrocarbon supply and demand in various parts of the world.Despite the huge volumes in unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs, they require high and intensive energy to recover oil while the development of new fields becomes complicated and expensive. There is therefore a growing interest in the development of efficient and effective improved oil recovery methods to increase oil recovery from ageing resources. This study talks about three IOR(Waterflooding,Infill well and Polymer flooding)simulation comparison methods, with commercial eclipse software. The main objective is to compare their performance in terms of recovery factor and net present value. This thesis presents a case study using Reservoir Simulation sample data provided by Oystein Pettersen,Principal researcher at Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research,Uni CIPR.The case is a field encounters oil production difficulties due to the low permeability rock and pressure drop.To solve this problem, the first approach is to modify the local Reservoir pressure(WBHP)in wellbore.Despite a little oil recovery improvement, the research target still not yet.Water is injected into the Reservoir for pressure maintain. The result slight increase oil production. The depletion still observes in some region of the Reservoir by the distribution pressure issue. Then the grid refinement is study and well observation is drill in each region. Also, adding three new oil producers(OP2,OP3 and OP4)and two new water Injector(WI2 and WI3).With additional well producer and well injector, the pressure is stabilized and oil production increased. At the end, polymer flooding is used to see how much oil it's possible to recover. The Sensitivities analysis are studied for water injection and polymer flooding to perform the appropriate well injection, appropriate composition and injection time. Finally, the economic evaluation is done to determine which method is the most profitable in terms of net present value. The result show that in the case of polymers we used a high concentration of polymers and taking into account the elevated rate of polymers,we had a zero NPV in no gain.
