The thickness gauge is the main means of the refinery to measure sample the thickness of the device and pipeline.The thickness gauges currently are used in the market,including ultrasonic thickness gauges,magnetic thickness gauges,eddy current thickness gauges,and so on.The commonality of thickness measurement method is the artificial detection of low-floor equipment.Their major problems are the detection of high-altitude equipment and pipelines.In recent years,the drone market has developed rapidly and been rapidly applied to various industries with its unique advantages.In view of the above problems,this paper designs a drone ultrasonic thickness gauge with thickness measurement function by means of the existing technology of the drone.Considering the weight,flight time,working environment and thickness measurement function of the drone,the article introduces the important structural design of the whole drone,the ultrasonic thickness measurement method.Then the paper also arranges the whole ultrasonic water spray thickness measurement scheme.Based on the use of unmanned aircraft load thickness measurement system,the paper designs an automatic telescopic bracket that can be sprayed and measured by unmanned aircraft.It can adjust the probe focal length for work pieces of different thicknesses.The model of the whole drone was completed with the help of SOLIDWORKS.Then the entire thickness measuring device was statically simulated.Under different working conditions,various part of the device was clarified about the stress of each component.The article verifies the structural feasibility of the UAV ultrasonic thickness gauge.Finally,this chapter uses steel plates as experimental objects to design repeated experiments on UAV ultrasonic thickness gauges,and compares the results with hand-held thickness gauges.The feasibility and thickness measurement accuracy of the UAV ultrasonic thickness gauge also were verified.Through the research work of this paper,a complete UAV ultrasonic thickness measurement system is designed,which provides a good reference value for China's future ultrasonic testing business.
