At present,because of their high thermal stability,good electrochemical stability,non-volatility and non-combustibility,ionic gels have been widely used in many fields,such as flexible supercapacitors,lithium ion batteries.However,in actual use process,the ionic gels may be cracked and have the possibility to damage the structure,reducing the service life and performance of the material,which limits the application range of the ionic gels.In order to solve this problem,ionic gels with self-healing properties has become a hot research topic.Ionic gels with self-healing properties are generally prepared by dynamic non-covalent interactions or dynamic covalent bonds.Hydrogen bonding and the host-guest interaction of ?-cyclodextrin/azobenzene are typical non-covalent forces.In this paper,the host-guest interaction of ?-cyclodextrin/azobenzene,hydrogen bonding between acrylic molecules and hydrogen bonding between acrylic acid and ionic liquid are used as driving forces,and this new type self-healing ionic gel is prepared by thermal initiation of in-situ polymerization.Since water can promote the host-guest interaction of?-cyclodextrin/azobenzene in an ionic gel system and water is a resource that is environmentally friendly and inexpensive to obtain,a humidity-response self-healing ionic gel has been designed.We utilize the feature of different water absorption capacity under different environmental conditions resulting in the different self-healing ability of the ionic gel to prepare a controllable humidity-response self-healing material.Here the hydrophilic ionic liquid 1-ethyl 3-methylimidazolium chloride is choosed as the ionic liquid,which uses the hydrophilic action of the ionic liquid to promote the host-guest interaction of ?-cyclodextrin/azobenzene,thereby promoting the self-healing process of the ionic gel.Finally,the self-healing degree of the ionic gel can be adjusted by adjusting the ratio of ionic liquid to monomer,humidity(RH)and repair time to obtain controllable humidity-response material.Under the same repair time,the degree of self-healing increases with the increase of RH.Under the same RH,the degree of self-healing increases with the increase of repair time.
