With the development of modern medical system,the life span of human beings is constantly increasing.Human joint problems are also increasing.So far,artificial joint replacement surgery is still the most important means of treating joint diseases.This also makes us put forward higher requirements on the wear performance of artificial joint materials.The ultra-high-molecular-weight-polyethylene(UHMWPE),is one of the main materials of artificial joints,It is important to study its wear performance.In this paper,through the wear experiments under different motion conditions and contact pressure conditions,the cross-shear effect produced by multi-directional motion and its impact on UHMWPE wear are studied.Testing the abrasion of domestic UH MWPE and compare it with imported UHMWPE.In the experiment,this material is tested for wear by a pin-disk friction tester,and the parameters of normal movement with the human body are selected as the experimental movement conditions and contact stress.There are many reasons for the failure of artificial joints after being implanted in the human body,and the wear of artificial joint materials is an important cause of failure.The cross-shear ratio as an important indicator to evaluate its wear performance is one of the main directions of our research.The experimental results show that as the cross-shear ratio increases,the wear volume of UHMWPE will also increase.Compared with imported UHMWPE,domestic UHMWPE has little difference in wear performance.When the human body is in different motion states,the load on the contact surface of its joints is different.In the experimental study of the effect of contact stress parameters on joint wear performance.The results show that when the contact pressure increases,the wear volume of UHMWPE increases and the wear factor increases,but the wear coefficient decreases with the increase of contact stress.Therefore,it is concluded that contact stress wears UHMWPE Performance has little effect.
