Reservoir is the main tool for water resources development and utilization.It plays an irreplaceable role in coordinating economic and social development and ecological protection.Assessing the multi-dimensional benefits of reservoir operation can improve the utilization of water resources and maximize the value of social economy and ecological environment.Based on the national key research and development plan project "Key technologies for dynamic regulation of sediment in the main tributaries of the Yellow River"(2018YFC0407400),the paper studies the multi-dimensional benefit quantification theory and method system under the joint operation of reservoir in the basin,and analyzes the case of the main reservoirs in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1)Study on multi-function identification and multi-dimensional benefit connotation of reservoir.Based on data collection,literature review and frontier analysis,the multiple functions of the reservoir are identified from the aspects of safety,sociality and sustainability,so as to define the multi-dimensional benefit connotation generated by the reservoir,including flood control and sediment reduction,power generation and water supply,and ecological environment.It provide theoretical basis for the quantitative study of multi-dimensional benefits of joint operation of reservoirs.(2)Study on the construction of multi-dimensional benefit index system and the method of index quantification.According to the multi-dimensional benefit connotation of reservoir,based on the emergy analysis method and economic method,this paper puts forward the indices and quantitative methods that can represent all kinds of benefits,including the inundation loss,the sediment reduction benefit of the reservoir and river course,the hydropower benefit,the water supply benefit for industry,agriculture,life,the ecological environment regulation and support function benefit,and constructs the multi-dimensional benefit evaluation index system of reservoir.(3)Establishment of multi-dimensional benefit evaluation model of reservoir.The model includes 1)solar emergy conversion rate quantification module of multi-source water body,so as to determine the value of solar emergy conversion rate of of natural and engineering water body in each region;2)water resources ecological and economic value accounting module,in order to obtain the single water resource value of industry,agriculture,life and ecological environment in each region;3)comprehensive evaluation module of multi-dimensional benefits,combined with multi-dimensional benefit index system,to calculate the benefits of flood control and sediment reduction,power generation and water supply,ecological environment and the comprehensive benefit under the joint operation of reservoirs.(4)Case study on multi-dimensional benefit quantification of main reservoirs in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.The above theory and method are applied to the case study,in order to evaluate and analyze the multi-dimensional benefits of Sanmenxia Reservoir and Xiaolangdi Reservoir joint operation under the 77.7 flood event.Two different operation modes are set up,namely,beach protection and floodplain.In the beach protection operation mode,the benefits of flood control,sediment reduction,hydropower,water supply,and ecological environment are-0.954,-2.512,0.242,8.642,17.295 billion yuan,with a total benefit of 22.713 billion yuan.In the floodplain operation mode,the benefits are-4.242,-1.882,0.230,8.642,17.600 billion yuan in order,and the total benefit is20.348 billion yuan.Reasonable setting of the joint operation mode of reservoirs can effectively ensure the safety of dam and lower reaches,and also take into account other benefits.The comprehensive evaluation of multi-dimensional benefits of reservoirs has important practical significance for guiding the scientific operation of reservoirs.
