Aiming at the harshness of the test conditions,and the complexity of the simulation model building process,based on ABAQUS finite element analysis platform,the PDC single cutter and tricone row rock breaking simulation experiment system is developed with Python language,which can greatly improve the efficiency of the research on the rock breaking performance of the petroleum bit.First,the correctness of the system is verified by simulation,and further study shows that:(1)due to the difference of material properties,the stress and temperature fluctuate greatly between the PDC layer and the matrix;(2)with the increase of rake angle,the contact area between cutter and rock increases gradually,so the cutting force increases;(3)the rock breaking amount of the tricone teeth row increases with the increase of shifting wheelbase,rotating speed and WOB,and WOB has the greatest influence on the rock breaking amount;(4)scoop tooth has the strongest ability to eat into rock,followed by cone tooth,and wedge tooth is the weakest.And scoop tooth has a more stable rock breaking process,cone tooth is more likely to squeeze rock to form a dense area during the rock breaking process.Through the correctness verification and practical application,it is fully proved that the system can realize the rapid establishment of rock breaking simulation model and effectively improve the research efficiency of rock breaking performance of bit.At last,the parametric modeling of PDC full tooth is realized by writing Python script.The simulation results show that the cutting tooth torque decreases gradually along the bit envelope to both sides,the cutting area of the cutting tooth at the bottom of the bit is larger than the cutting area of the flank cutting tooth,so that the cutting force of the cutters at the bottom of the bit is far greater than the cutting force of the flank cutters.Through the full tooth simulation model of tricone bit,it is concluded that the secondary outer row is the key factor to determine the wheel speed ratio,the WOB has a great influence on the wheel speed ratio,and the rotation speed has almost no influence on the wheel speed ratio.
