In this paper,the effects of geometrical factors such as auxiliary anode,insulating baffle and electrochemical factors on the uniformity of electroformed nickel printing plate were studied by combining calculation with production effect verification.By calculating and analyzing the influence of the size of the anode plate,the distance between the anode plates and the number of the anode plates on the uniformity of electroformed nickel plates,the corresponding improvement schemes are put forward respectively.In view of the auxiliary anode,the electroformed nickel plate was decomposed into five independent small anode plates.The size of the small anode plates was 100*1100 mm,and the spacing of the plates was 100 mm.The improved scheme reduced the mean square deviation of nickel plate thickness from 447 micron to 409 micron,reduced by 8.5%,the range of nickel plate thickness from 1419 micron to 1323 micron,and the total weight of anode decreased by 54.2%.Aiming at the insulating partition,seven auxiliary circular holes of different sizes are put forward around the central square hole of the insulating partition.The improved scheme reduces the mean square error of nickel plate thickness from 409 micron to 27 micron,by 93.4%,and the range of nickel plate thickness from 1323 micron to 108 micron.Aiming at the outlet velocity of return pipe in the main tank,it is proposed that the outlet aperture of return pipe should be set as an equal decreasing sequence with the difference of 1 from 16 mm to 6 mm,and the hole spacing should be set as an equal increasing sequence with the difference of 2 mm to 20 mm.The improved scheme reduces the mean square error of nickel plate thickness from 27 microns to 16 microns by 40.7%,and the range of nickel plate thickness from 108 microns to 74 microns.This project improves the uniformity of electroformed nickel plate by adding auxiliary anode,insulating baffle between cathode and anode,adjusting the outlet flow rate of return pipe,and so on.The edge thickness of electroformed nickel plate decreases from the highest 2.4 mm to 0.9-1.0 mm;the middle thickness of nickel plate decreases from 1.0-1.2 mm to 0.9-1.0 mm;and the average variance of nickel plate thickness decreases from 447 micron to 16 micron,which reduces 96.9 mm.4%;the range of nickel plate thickness decreased from 1419 micron to 74 micron;the average thickness of nickel plate decreased from 1530 micron to 958 micron;the total weight of electroformed nickel plate decreased from 11 kg to 6.9 kg,thus reducing the subsequent grinding time of each plate by 4.5 hours,which greatly improved the production efficiency of electroformed nickel plate.
