PEM(Proton Exchange Membrane)fuel cell is a chemical device that converts electrical energy into electricity.The role of fuel cells is particularly important in this context in today's increasingly depleted energy sources and increasing air pollution.However,the flow field design of fuel cells is critical to its performance,including the shape of the flow field,the depth of the runner,and the opening rate of the flow field.Combining the self-similarity principles of Murray theorem and fractal theory,this paper designs a hexagonal flow field for PEM fuel cells,which differs from the common flow field in that its channel is made up of multiple prismatic ridges based on a certain arrangement,rather than a box.Using the drawing software to build the model of all the PEM fuel cells to be calculated by simulation analysis,then the setting of the grid model and boundary conditions,and finally,the results of the calculation of the fluid mechanics simulation tool,in the process of calculation,by changing the factors affecting the performance of the fuel cell,the analysis,According to the battery voltage and average current density to draw the polarization curve,the results of the operation through the professional results cloud graph processing software for the processing and display of the results.The maximum power density of fuel cells in various flow fields is analyzed by polarization curve,and the uniform distribution of current density of fuel cells in various flow fields is analyzed by the contour figure of current density distribution.In addition,combined with the comprehensive analysis of oxygen distribution contour figure,pressure distribution contour figure,water content in membrane distribution contour figure and so on,the flow field form and size of the PEM fuel cell can achieve the best performance.The content of the article analyzes the performance influence of different forms of flow field on PEM fuel cell from multi-directional angle,uses the computer numerical simulation method to experiment,saves a lot of cost and some unnecessary trouble,A new type of flow field for hexagonal fuel cells has been added,which enriches the flow field type of fuel cells based on common flow field types.and has some reference value for the later study of PEM fuel cell flow field analysis.
