At present,water consumption in Weihai City is increasing day by day with the rapid development of its economy,the continuous increase in population and the further expansion of urban scale.The statistical data showed that the annual urban water consumption was 650 million m~3 and the newly added water capacity was 50,000 tons / day in the period of “13th Five-Year Plan”.But meanwhile,the total amount of sewage discharge in this city increased.After planning,it was predicted that the average daily amount of sewage generated in the planned area of Weihai City would reach 370,600 m~3 by 2020.Now,the urban construction is accelerating,while a large amount of industrial sewage within the service area is merged into the drainage pipelines.According to the urban planning program and work deployment,the centralized treatment rate of sewage in central and sub-central urban areas would reach more than 95% and the water quality compliance rate of the marine functional zone in the city would be remained at 100% by 2020.The scale of this Sewage Treatment Plant is 20,000 m~3/d,but it is running near full capacity currently.Therefore,it is urgent to add its capacity and expand its scale.Through the prediction of water consumption and drainage volume in Weihai City,it finally determined to adopt a complete set of sewage treatment project program with MBBR technology as the core in the Sewage Treatment Plant by analyzing and comparing a series of processing measures with the goal of making effluent water quality reach the national level A standard according to the analysis result of the current operating data of the sewage treatment plant.Through the analysis of characteristics of the influent water quality,MBBR technology focuses on the removal of CODcr and nitrogen.Compared with AAO oxidation ditch technology,it has more advantages as follows.Firstly,MBBR technology adopts the mud film composite process,which is more impact-resistantand easy to manage and maintain;Secondly,it was applied in the first phase of Sewage Treatment Plant and the bidding project,with stable treatment effect.Moreover,the staff has been familiar with its principle,so that they can operate it proficiently.By analyzing the environmental influence in and after the project construction,it researches the existing risks and energy consumption factors,and finds corresponding solutions,so as to make the project more stable,economical and efficient.Based on the current situation of sewage treatment and drainage in Weihai City,the design scheme and environmental influence of the Sewage Treatment Plant expansion project are fully studied in this paper by combining the long-term planning of the city,so as to provide the process design basis for the sewage treatment and engineering application,and offer the technical support for the overall sewage treatment planning in Weihai City.
