In recent years,graphene oxide(GO)has become a research hotspot in the application of anticorrosive and antibacterial coatings due to its excellent physical and mechanical properties.However,the hydrophilicity of GO has limited its further development in the field of organic coatings.This study hopes to improve its application potential through functional modification.First,GO was hydrophobically modified with octadecylamine(ODA).The effect and mechanism of the addition amount of ODA-GO on the corrosion resistance of silicone-modified epoxy resin(SMER)were investigated.At the same time,the use of silane coupling agent(KH550)modified nano titanium dioxide(TiO2)and ODA-GO composite to further improve the corrosion resistance and antibacterial property of SMER coatings.The main research progress is as follows:(1)The improved Hummers method was used to prepare GO with good oxidation.ODA was used to modify GO and a large number of long-chain alkyl groups and other functional groups were successfully grafted onto the surface of GO.Thus the modified GO showed strong hydrophobicity.(2)ODA-GO has good compatibility with the coating,which improves the interfacial bonding force of the coating,reduces the water absorption of the SMER coating,and exerts its scaly barrier effect to remarkably prolong the diffusion path of the corrosion medium in the coating.What's more,the anti-peeling performance of the coating are also improved and thus the corrosion resistance of the SMER coating is significantly improved.When the addition amount of ODA-GO in the SMER coating is 1%by weight,the coating has the best improvement in corrosion resistance.(3)KH550-TiO2@ODA-GO composites exhibited good hydrophobicity.The low-frequency end resistance value(|Z|0.01hz)of KH550-TiO2@ODA-GO/SMER coating immersed in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution for 28 days was still as high as 2.78 ×109,showing good corrosion resistance.In addition,during the process of modification and loading on the surface of GO,the composition of nano-TiO2 was not significantly affected,and the nano-TiO2 still exhibited good antibacterial properties in the coating,resulting the killing rate of KH550-TiO2@ODA-GO/SMER coating about E.coli reached 95%.
