| Lacquered particleboard and MDF furniture is widely used in home decoration,to evaluate the effect of diluent types on benzene series releasing from paint,to reduce indoor benzene series pollution and reduce benzenes harm to individuals,in this study,particleboard and MDF panels were choosen as the research material.Ethyl acetate,Acetone and industrial mixed solvent were respectively used as diluent to make PU-lacquered veneered particleboard.Anhydrous ethanol,Ethyl acetate and industrial mixed solvent were respectively used as diluent to make NC-lacquered veneered MDF.The concentration and components of benzenes releasing from lacquered panels were tested by 15L small cabin and GC/MS.According to the health risk model of EPA/US,the health risk of benzene series was evaluated,the harm degree of various paints to human health was determined,and the film properties of PU paint and NC paint were tested,more environment-friendly and durable paints were obtained.The following conclusions were obtained:1.When the benzene series releasing from undecorated particleboard,waterborne lacquered particleboard and PU lacquered particleboard was tested,the toxicity of benzenes belonged to the low toxicity and micro toxicity range,and BTEX was the component that contributes the most to the total concentration.16 benzenes released from PU with a total concentration of 197.45μg·m-3.The total concentration of 13 benzenes releasing from waterborne paint was the lowest,only 58.88μg·m-3.11 benzenes released from undecorated particleboard with the highest concentration of 207.1 μg·m-3.The data shows that the environmental protection of waterborne paint was better than that of PU paint.The emission of benzene series can be effectively blocked by veneer and paint film.2.When ethyl acetate,acetone and industrial mixed solvent were used as diluent of PU-E,PU-A and PU-M,the concentration and the types of benzene series releasing from PU-E and PU-A were lower than PU-M,benzene and toluene were the most pollutional components.Within 28 days after painting,the concentration of benzene series of undecorated particleboard continued to decrease with time and finally reached a stable release trend.The concentration of benzene series of PU-lacquered particleboard increased first and then decreased and finally tended to release stably.The type of diluent did not affect the release rule of benzene series of lacquered particleboard.3.When the benzene series releasing from undecorated MDF and NC lacquered MDF(thickness 18mm,8mm)was tested,the benzenes concentration of the undecorated MDF was higher,and the thickness of the plate has no obvious effect on benzene series emission in lacquered MDF.Respectively using ethyl acetate,anhydrous ethanol and industrial mixed solvent as diluent to prepare NC-E,NC-A and NC-M,the data showed the benzene series emission of NC lacquered MDF could be controlled from the source by using single alcohols and esters as diluent,and ethyl acetate was a more ideal choice.When using alcohol-ester mixed solvent as diluent,with the increase of ethyl acetate added to the diluent,the concentration of benzene series gradually decreased,when anhydrous ethanol:ethyl acetate ratio of 1:3,the highest degree of environmental protection paint was obtained.4.When the industrial mixed solvent was raplaced by ethyl acetate,anhydrous ethanol and acetone,the film properties of PU and NC could reach the operating standards,and the alkali resistance of PU-E,NC-E and NC-A was improved compared with that of PU-M and NC-M.Choosing ethyl acetate as diluent for PU paint and NC paint was more environmentally friendly and durable.Among the benzene series released from PU paint and NC paint,benzene had obvious carcinogenic risk to human body,and the non-carcinogenic risk value of benzene and xylene was higher than other benzene series.Therefore,the concentration monitoring of these three components should be strengthened in daily life. |
