Aluminum,titanium and its alloys are widely used in various fields.A large amount of chips are generated during the forming process,and how to deal with the chips has become a key issue for sustainable development.Traditional recycling methods not only have low utilization,but also generate large energy consumption.In this paper,aluminum and titanium chips are recycled,and the A1-Ti-C refiner is prepared by briquetting and then melting.The scrap material is recycled and reused,and the problem of wettability A1-Ti-C refiner is solved at the same time.In this paper,A1-Ti-C grain refiner was prepared by adding prefabricated block to the aluminum melt.The effects of factors such as the feeding method,feeding temperature,reaction time,reaction temperature and stirring on the microstructure and the second phase of the alloy were analyzed and studied.The best preparation process is obtained:using a mixed preform feeding method,adding a temperature of850?,a reaction temperature of 1000?,a reaction time of 60min,and stirring during preparation.There are mainly Ti Al3 and Ti C phases in the A1-Ti-C refiner,with small size and uniform distribution,and fewer defects.Combined with ternary phase diagram of A1-Ti-C reaction system and thermodynamic analysis,confirmed the spontaneity and feasibility of the reaction equation for the formation of the second phase.At the same time,the dissolving model of chip material by mixed feeding method is proposed.In this paper,the effects of addition amount,reaction time,reaction temperature,and stirring of A1-5Ti-0.25C refining agent on the refining effect of industrial pure aluminum were studied.The grain size of macrostructure of refined commercial pure aluminum was compared,the best refinement process is obtained:the addition amount of the alloy is 0.2wt.%,the refining time is 2min,the refining temperature is730?,and stirring during refinement.The grain size of the refined pure aluminum can reach 200?m.In comparison experiment with commercial Al-5Ti-1B grain refiner,the refiner's refining performance was evaluated with commercial pure aluminum as refining objects.The results showed that the grain size of pure aluminum refined by the self-made A1-5Ti-0.25C refiner is about 2/3 of the commercial rod refiner,refinement decay time is longer.
