Antibacterial coatings have been widely used in many fields.The presence of pathogenic microorganisms resistant to traditional antimicrobial coatings,which can weaken the presence of antibacterial effect.Usually,toxicity,pollution,high cost,drug resistance and unsustainable antibacterial activity have become the focus of antibacterial research.Antibacterial coatings doped quaternary phosphonium salts have shown high activity and drug resistance stability against bacterial infections.This paper designs and prepares quaternary phosphonium cations embedded in PUA oligomers,which are cured by UV to form antibacterial membranes.The detailed research is as follows.1.Starting from 1,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)hexane,4-bromophenol,acetone glycerol,pentaerythritol p-methylbenzenesulfonyl chloride,diphenylphosphonium chloride,(4-methoxyphenyl)bromide magnesium,6-bromo-1-hexanol and other materials,after three to four steps of reactions,tetrahydroxybisquaternium salt(TDQPS),radial tetrahydroxyquaternium phosphonium salt(TTQPS)and chain bishydroxyhexacyclic guanidine salt(DHQPS)antibacterial monomers have been synthesized.The three compounds were inserted into the urethane acrylate(PUA)by chemical bonding.Three different proportions of PUA/TDQPS,PUA/TTQPS and PUA/DHQPS were prepared by UV curing.All final product was characterized by 'H NMR,31P NMR,13C NMR,high resolution liquid chromatography,EDS,AFT-IR spectroscopy and other characterization methods.2.Three kinds of antibacterial membranes with different percentages of quaternary phosphonium salts were synthesized by copolymerization method to embed quaternary phosphonium cation antibacterial monomers into PUA under UV curing.All membranes have been characterized by SEM electronic scanning microscope morphology analysis,TGA thermodynamic stability test,quaternary salt antibacterial small molecule unit embedding rate test,water absorption test,coating pencil hardness test.3.Antibacterial activity of the prepared membranes were tested by E.coli and S.aureus assay,and confirmed by LIVE/DEAD(?)BacLightTM bacterial viability assay.The results show that activity of the antibacterial coating membrane is also increased when the proportion of the quaternary phosphonium salt is increased.When the same ratio of different quaternary phosphonium salt cations of the di/tetra/hexaquaternary phosphonium salts antibacterial monomers are added,the antibacterial activity of the PUA-DHQPS antibacterial coatings of hexaquaternary phosphonium salts is better than that of the PUA-TDQPS diquaternary phosphonium salt antibacterial coatings and PUA/TTQPS diquaternary phosphonium salt antibacterial coatings.In short,TDQPS,TTQPS,DHQPS can increase the antibacterial properties of antibacterial coatings because of the positive charge density of antibacterial small molecule units.This is a new avenue for new type of antibacterial coatings.
