With the rapid development of the Titanium dioxide and titanium sponge,Ti-rich materials have attracted more and more attention for researchers due to its excellent properties.China is rich in titanium resources,however,the titanium slag has a high content,such as calcium and magnesium,which limits the the developing of titanium industry.The topic was taken the titanium slag as material,research on the chemical properties,mineral components of the titanium slag,basing the feature of the titanium slag,devise schemes on the alkali leaching combine pickling and acid leaching process for the removal of impurity,prepared the rich titanium material can be used as a good material for production of sponge titanium or titanium pigment.Though the experimental,the results obtained are as follows:(1)The results of the XRD and SEM shows that the main impurities in the titanium slag were SiO2,CaO,MgO,Al2O3 and FeO.The main mineral phase were anosovite and silicate,Fe,Mg,A1 mostly dissolved in anosovite and Si,Ca are main concentrated in silicate.(2)The exploratory experiments results shows that the alkali leaching can only remove a few Si and Al,and it is difficult to filter by acid leaching method.So the alkali leaching combine the pickling and acid leaching process is most effective.The silicateis destroyed in the alkali leaching,and it is easy to removing inclusions in the pickling to get good removal effect.(3)The alkali leaching combine the pickling and acid leaching process include three parts,the experiment studies on the effects of the concentration of the leaching solution,leaching temperature,reaction time,particle size of the titanium slag,liquid-solid ratio in the alkali leaching,pickling and acid leaching process,it comes to the appropriate conditions:CNaoH=10%,T=90?,t=1h,L/S=6mL/g,the particle of the titanium slag is less than 74?m,the stirring speed is 250rpm;In pickling process:CHCL=1.9%,T=30?,t=30min,L/S=8mL/g,the stirring speed is 250rpm;In acid leaching process:CHCl=15.2%,T=90?,t=1h,L/S=8mL/g,the stirring speed is 250rpm.After the alkali leaching combine the pickling and acid leaching process,the content of the TiO2 90.57%in the product.After the condition optimization,high quality rich titanium material can be prepared,the content TiO2 is 95.78%.In this paper,based on the features of the titanium slag,propose the route of alkali leachingcombine the pickling and acid leaching,and synthesis the rich titanium material with 95.78%TiO2.The technology is applicable and is a new way for the industrial to use the titanium slag with high content of the Ca and Mg to prepare rich titanium material.
