In the production of continuous casting,molten steel surface of mold must always covered a layer of mold powder to stable pouring operation and improve the surface quality of steel billet.The principle of the method is use of people to cast mold powder in most steel companies.Worker working environment is bad,and artificial cast mold powder can not guarantee the quality of steel billet.Aiming at the main defects of the existing equipment,a thorough study was carried out.(1)Aiming at the contradiction between the accuracy of fabric and the compact structure of equipment,the method of the rectangular compensation was puts forward on the basis of the double feed tube swinging type automatic casting powder feeder.The three kind of the mechanism for correcting a sector area of double pendulum rod of automatic casting powder feeder to a rectangle was designed.Realized the function of the tension and swing of the feeding tube and the motion of the front and back compensation automatically.Under the premise of ensuring the casting area and the mold area coincidence,the volume of the equipment was reduced further.(2)In view of the problem that the particle integrity is hard to be guaranteed in the process of protecting the mold powder,discrete element simulation software is used to study the fracture mechanism of the screw conveyor.A "blade" shape variable diameter and pitch spiral feeding screw was designed.The filling rate of the mold powder is controlled from the feed inlet section,and the friction of the mold powder is reduced.Set top gap reasonable value and reduce the area of the top leaf rolling in conveying section,weaken the mold powder crushing roller tip,to reduce the broken rate of the mold powder in the process of screw conveyor,so that the performance of the mold powder is normally played.(3)In view of the difficult balance between the supply and demand of the mold powder due to the uneven distribution of casting.a nonlinear curve of discharge portvariable pitch spiral "curtain" casting technology was put forward,to solve the problem of the uniformity of the distribution of the automatic casting powder feeder along the width of the mold.In addition,the movement speed of the center of the discharge port was analyzed by using the kinematic analysis software,to solve the problem of the uniformity of the distribution of the automatic casting powder feeder along the length of the mold,which provides a complete theoretical basis for the realization of uniform casting of mold powder.
