N2O5/organic solvent systems were new green nitrification system.The nitrification mechanism and nitrification ability of N2O5 in CH3NO2,CH3 CN,Ac2O,CH2Cl2 and CCl4 were studied.Nitrolysis of DPT to HMX by N2O5/organic solvent systems were researched too.The main contents were as fillow.The products of the reactions of N2O5 with naphthalene in organic solvents have been investigated.The influence of temperature,ultraviolet,tetrabutylammonium nitrate and the effects of addition of HNO3 on the resulting nitronaphthalene isomer distributions have been studied.The results show that all N2O5/organic systems is mainly NO2+ mechanism.Only N2O5/CCl4 system exists free radical mechanism,adding nitric acid will destroy its free radical mechanism.The nitrification capacity of N2O5/organic solvent systems were determined by several experiments.The results show that the N2O5/Ac2 O system nitration of toluene and naphthalene to form mononitro compounds.Raman spectra and infrared spectra showed acetic acid peaks.Infrared spectra showed cetyl nitrate peaks.N2O5 and Ac2 O reaction to produce acetyl nitrate,which nitrification capacity declined.In others,the intensity of the vibrational peak of NO2+ in the infrared spectrum of,conductivity value and dinitro compounds selectivity order is CCl4< CH2 Cl < CH3 CN <CH3NO2.It is shown that the nitrification ability of N2O5 / organic solvent system increases with the increase of solvent polarity.The conductivity and the vibration peak of NO2+ in the infrared spectrum was enhanced,when addition of HNO3 in the N2O5/organic solvent system.Results show that N2O5 and improve the nitrification ability of N2O5 in each solvent.The reactions of N2O5 with DPT in organic solvents have been nvestigated.The influence of solvent and ammonium salts have been studied.The results showed that the yield of HMX was 23.6% when the solvent was acetonitrile and the ammonium salt was tetrabutylammonium chloride.
