Color plays a vital role in people's daily time,from natural landscape to social architecture,especially in textile.Hence,the sensory color of textiles is an important performance indicator of textile materials.Currently,the modern dyeing industrial habitually uses chemical colorants(such as dyes,pigments)to achieve colorful textiles.However,chemical colorants are mainly based on poisonous aniline aromatic hydrocarbon compound.Thus environmental problems and excess water consumption appear accompanying with chemical colorants,and have become hot topics recent years.On top of that,high energy consumption,insufficient fastness,complicated process are also shortcomings of chemical coloration.Therefore,the development of an environment friendly coloring technique is an important direction for the advancement of textile materials in the world.Accordingly,the technique be able to endow fiber with bright color free from traditional pigment coloration has attract great interests for the new generation of textiles with higher added-value.Among them,benefit from the Surface Plasmon Resonances(SPR)of two-dimensional plasma nanostructures,Silver Nanoplates(AgNPs)show great absorption in the visible and near-infrared regions of the spectrum.The optical resonance of one-step water-based synthesized AgNPs colloids can be finely tuned to a specific wavelength(550-1300 nm)peak merely by controlling the morphology,contributing to a wide range of colors.In this work,the AgNPs were first used as "SPR Chromophore" to fabricate colorful Ag-TPU(AgNPs,Thermoplastic polyurethane)composite fiber continuously by using a finely tunable "on-chip lab",which known as microfluidics.The elastic Ag-TPU composite fibers with vivid color and great antibacterial functions could be achieved with the mass fraction of AgNPs occupied merely 3 wt.%.Also,a nano optical ruler which building a correlation between the morphology of mono AgNPs and optical properties has also been investigated.And notably,proper annealing treatment has been demonstrated of great significance to realize the one-step enclosing of color,promoting the enhancement of color durability,saturation(increased 41.25%)and mechanical properties(rupture strain increased 600%and ultimate strength increased 69.23%).In addition,the SPR colored Ag-TPU composite fiber in this work has been weft-knitted into colorful fabrics and crocheted into a flower-shaped coaster and a three-dimensional beret,exhibiting the good feasibility and promising potential of SPR coloration in green coloring techniques in clothing,medical and industrial textiles.
