The clamping force is one of the important process parameters of the injection molding process.The reasonable setting of the clamping force of the injection molding machine has an important impact on the weight of the injection products and the life of the machine clamping unit and the mold.If the setting value of the clamping force of the machine is low,it is easy to cause defects such as burrs and flashing,and the product weight repeat accuracy is reduced.At the same time,it will permanently damage the injection mold parting surface and reduce the life of the mold and the clamping unit;If the clamping force of the machine is too large,it will lead to increased energy consumption in the injection molding process.In severe cases,it is easy to make the mold cavity exhaust poor,and the product will have discoloration and coking defects.The traditional clamping force setting method is based on the product of the projected area of the mold runner and the cavity on the parting surface and the cavity pressure experience value.For safety reasons,the initial setting value of the clamping force is often too large With changes in raw materials and production environment,there may be a situation where the clamping force is too small.Therefore,the traditional setting of the clamping force deviates from the actual working conditions,and the way of purely relying on experience setting can no longer meet the development requirements of Industry 4.0 and intelligent injection molding.Based on the research on the expansion of the injection molding machine during the molding process,this topic proposes an intelligent online optimization method for the clamping force of the injection molding machine for industrial applications.The main research work and achievements of this topic are as follows:(1)Systematic study on the characteristics of mold separation in injection molding and the change of clamping force caused by mold separation:the corresponding mold separation characteristics in the presence or absence of flashing of the product are studied.During the mold separation process,the peak value of the expansion force It has nothing to do with the setting value of the clamping force;the characteristics of the clamping force change caused by the separation of the mold during the molding process of the three-plate toggle type all-electric injection molding machine and the two-plate hydraulic injection molding machine are theoretically analyzed,combined with experimental research It is proposed that the maximum increase in clamping force and the change in clamping force can both be used as indicators to measure the quality of injection molded products online.(2)Research on the optimal clamping force value in the injection molding process:Analyzes the mold clamping property of the machine clamping unit during mold separation and the dynamic equilibrium state of the mold in the molding process,and proposes the optimal clamping force setting in injection molding The basis for judging the value;combined with experimental research,the effect of uneven mold separation on the optimal setting of the clamping force is described.(3)The online optimization algorithm of the clamping force of the injection molding machine based on the maximum increment of the clamping force and the change of the clamping force is proposed.The additional sensor can be accurately solved and set the optimal clamping force value required by the machine for injection molding under the current working conditions through several trial molds.
