The problem of sleep in contemporary society has become a prominent problem affecting public health.Textiles,as "the second layer of human skin," are items that the human body directly contacts during sleep. With the development of science and technology and the strengthening of the concept of health, people have put forward higher requirements for bed textile products. At present, microencapsulation of sleep-promoting plant essential oils and application to home textile products has become a new technology that has been researched and developed. It uses aromatherapy and selects natural plant essential oils to avoid the side effects such as dependence and addiction caused by traditional oral hypnotics. At the same time, the application of microcapsule technology improves the physical properties of essential oils and enables the release rate of effective ingredients of essential oils to be controlled. This allows the finished textile to remain functional for a long time. However, there are still some problems in obtaining sleep-promoting home textile products that are safe,non-toxic,low cost,long-lasting,and resistant to washing and friction. In this thesis,a double-layer microcapsule coating method was first used, with ?-cyclodextrin as the inner wall material, chitosan and sodium alginate as the outer wall material, and peppermint essential oil as the core material to prepare a double Layer slow-release microcapsules, and their morphology, structure and performance were studied. The preparation process was optimized by response surface experiment design. The best preparation process conditions was:core-to-wall ratio of 1:6,embedding time of 3.2 h,embedding temperature of 53?,and the embedding rate of the obtained microcapsules was about 80%.The single-layer microcapsules are irregular parallelogram or rhombic, and the double-layer microcapsules are roughly spherical, with a particle size distribution between 2 and 6 ?m.The prepared microcapsules can maintain a certain thermal stability within 250? It still contains 70%active ingredients after being left at room temperature for 2 months.Further, the microcapsules of essential oil for assisting sleep(lavender essential oil)were prepared according to the above process conditions, and the microcapsule solution was evaluated for the effect of assisting in sleep. The results of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale showed that the prepared essential oil microcapsules could effectively improve sleep. Finally, the cotton fabric was finished by two-dip and two-roll method, and the microcapsule solution was combined with the binder as the finishing liquid. The optimal process parameters were optimized for the finishing process:the binder concentration was 50 g/L,the concentration of the microcapsule suspension was 50 g/L,and the baking temperature was 120?.The SEM and infrared test results show that the microcapsules have been successfully sorted into the fabric;Due to the small particle size of the microcapsule, the viscosity of the double-layer wall material and the combination with the adhesive, the finished fabric has good resistance to washing and rubbing, and it can still maintain a light fragrance after 2 months of natural storage. In summary, this paper successfully prepared a double-layer sustained-release microcapsule and applied it to home textile products. It has made breakthroughs in the microcapsule particle size control, preparation of double-layer microcapsules and its strong combination with fabrics, and has theoretical significance and practical value for the long-term slow release of active ingredients in sleep-promoting home textile products.
