Coupling And Coordination Of Urbanization And Air Quality In Urban Agglomerations In The Middle Reaches Of The Yangtze River

The urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and it is also one of the five key urban agglomerations in China.At present,the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is in the stage of rapid urbanization and industrialization,coupled with the transfer of backward industries such as high energy consumption and high pollution in some developed regions,resulting in more ecological and environmental problems,especially air pollution.Therefore,in the context of the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,taking the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as an example,it is of great significance to carry out research on the coupling and coordination of urbanization and air quality for the realization of cross-regional environmental problem management and high-quality development of urban agglomerations.This paper builds an evaluation index system of urbanization level from four aspects of economy,population,society and space,and selects three types of pollutants such as SO₂,NO₂ and PM₁₀ to construct an air quality measurement index system.Evaluate the urbanization and air quality of cities,and conduct an empirical analysis of the interaction between urbanization and air quality.On this basis,establish a coupling and coordination model to analyze the coupling and coordination of urbanization systems and air quality systems from a time and space perspective.Level.The main conclusions are:?1?There is a significant spatial difference between the urbanization level and air quality level of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.?2?It is verified that there is an interactive relationship between urbanization and air quality in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.The development of urbanization will lead to the gradual deterioration of air quality,and the deterioration of air quality will also promote the development of urbanization.?3?During the research period of the past ten years,the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree of urbanization and air quality in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River showed a rising trend of fluctuation.Analysis of the coupling degree revealed that most cities were in the stage of running-in,and analysis of the coupling coordination degree revealed that each city In the phases of basic coordination and moderate coordination,coupling coordination has spatial agglomeration and difference,and the degree of coordination between the second-level urban agglomerations is weak.Based on the research conclusions and the problems found,this article makes the following three suggestions:deepen the construction of ecological cities and promote green development;improve the joint defense and joint control mechanism to promote coordinated development;strengthen regional contacts and promote coordinated development.
